Emma Sipora Tyler

is a Black biracial theatre artist based in Chicago, IL. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Emma holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Emma is passionate about accessibility and representation in the arts. She has recently been exploring those passions through multiple theatrical mediums, including writing, dramaturgy, and social media content creation. Most recently, she was the assistant dramaturg for brother sister cyborg space (Raven Theatre). She also temporarily served as the Literary & Casting Associate at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where she has also worked as a script supervisor. Professional theatrical credits include Emma (Lifeline Theatre), The Tempest (Oak Park Festival Theatre), and Caroline, or Change (Firebrand Theatre). In addition to her artistic work, Emma is dabbling in grant research. She also works as the Program Coordinator for Artspace Immersion - a program that empowers arts and cultural organizations as they navigate the real estate market and plan for space.
